Outrage as Popular South African DJ Gunned Down in the Heart of Johannesburg.
A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the metropolis of Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a country struggling with rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the city centre on a Tuesday afternoon.
Officials stated the 40-year-old media personality was accosted by three individuals, with one began shooting at him before escaping on foot.
The motive of the shooting is unknown and no one has been arrested have taken place, as per the official statement.
The Fatal Incident
Law enforcement revealed that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a premises in the vicinity of the city center landmark.
He had been present for hours at the property supervising the installation of security systems, which had been controversially occupied by unknown people, according to reports.
"It is alleged the deceased was confronted by three unidentified men after he parked his car, and they opened fire at him before fleeing the scene on foot," authorities confirmed.
CCTV footage reportedly captured a individual with dreadlocked hair and wearing what resembled a guard's attire shooting on Stock before fleeing.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was hit but succumbed to his injuries on the opposite side of the road.
It was further revealed that Stock had an unused firearm and it was not a robbery during the attack.
